For Naresh doing comedies is a breeze. It was fitting that Ravi Babu directed his debut. It is because that remains one of the best funny roles he has done. Right from Allari (2001), this lean comedy hero has only followed his instinct. Accepting films by 'dime a half-dozen' per year, he has given moments of fun and joy to his audience and producers alike, for the simple reason because his films have always invariably recouped the costs even in the worst case.

As he turns a year older today, Naresh is all set to cross two milestones by 30 June 2013. What are they? He will have acted in his 50th film. If this is professional success, more is going to come on the personal front. "I will marry before I celebrate my next birthday," he says.

The rest of this year will be quite promising for lovers of his kind of comedy. Sudigaadu, where he will parody everyone from Pawan Kalyan to Naga Chaitanya scene after scene, is gearing up for release. A big-budget film (Action), directed by Anil Sunkara, offers him a chance to register success in a new area - that of 3D. He is acting in a socio-fantasy film, directed by Satthibabu, where he will romance the daughter of Lord Yama in the movie.
