'Akka means Akka Mahadevi'. One of the 12th century light in the history Akkamahadevi the philosopher with importance is now the subject for a film.

Anaji Nagaraj known for commercial flicks in his career of over two decades also an ace cameraman has started a film on 'Akkamahadevi'. In the past a few of the divine Kannada film seen 'Akkahadevi' in sparks but it is a full length film. This is mythological and social film and 'Dhanammadevi' (100 days run devotional film) of Kannada cinema Anu Prabhakar is in the title role.

Akkamahadevi of the Sri Basaveshwara in 12th century as a social reformer has great contribution. The personal life of Akkamahadevi is more touching is a known fact.

At the famous Anubhava Mantapa in Basavakalyan the shooting is in progress. The week long shoot was held around the newly constructed Anubhava Mantapa and later on move to Srishaila, Western Ghats and come to Bengaluru. The climax for this film is planned on the banks of Krishna River.

Shuba Punja, Malathi, Radha, Naveen Krishna, Ninasam Ashwath, Arun Sagar, Pramodha Kasaravalli and local talents are part of this film.

Television serials director Manju Siddanamath is making debut as director in big screen. Nagaraj Advani is the cameraman of this film that has Lakshmi G Raja music.
