Stories throwing light on dark realities of life have always been a favorite of Bala. The National Award winning filmmaker, who earlier titled his next venture as 'Eriyum Thanal', has opted for a change now it seems.

If sources are to be believed, the film starring Atharva and Vedhika in the lead roles has been rechristened as 'Paradesi'. "Bala felt the new title would suit the script well when compared to the old one," sources say.

The film, set in the backdrop of southern Tamil Nadu, is taking shape fast. Ace writer Jeyamohan, who earlier worked with Bala in 'Naan Kadavul', is said to be helping the director in 'Paradesi' also.

Recently, there was a buzz that Bala has picked his 'Naan Kadavul' colleague Pooja to play a crucial role in 'Paradesi'. But there is no official announcement about this so far. There is no official word about the 'name change' as well.
