With Vidya Balan taking personal interest in ensuring that 'Kahaani' was made well and adequately promoted, director Sujoy Ghosh feels that a large part of the battle has already been won.
"'Kahaani' is more of Vidya's baby than mine today," Sujoy gets all Mooney eyed here, "She had a certain belief in the film and today she is proud of having worked in it. She was not just an actor on the film; she was much more than that. She knew everything about what was happening on the production front as well. She knew budget, locations, costumes, the works. At times she even managed crowds when things became a little unruly on real locations."
No wonder, the filmmaker is happy about trusting her capabilities when films like 'Ishqiya', 'Paa', 'No One Killed Jessica' and 'The Dirty Picture' were still waiting to happen. However now that Vidya is being acknowledged as an actress who comes with a good degree of excellence, Sujoy is elated that he made just the right choice.
"Really, this woman is a delight of an actress because you just can't find any flaws in her acting," says Sujoy who is clearly awed with the kind of performance that Vidya has delivered in his dramatic thriller, "You can't really quantify quality but the kind of quality stamp that Vidya brings in is priceless."
