B-town master talent Anupam Kher's love for Marathi is blind…. The actor in his long career is making his Marathi debut with ‘Kashala Udyachi Baat’ a bilingual in Marathi. Titled ‘Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein’in Hindi, the film is directed by Pramod Joshi and also has Sachin Khedekar in lead.

Not may people know that the suggestion for Anupam’s blind character in the film came from the actor himself.

It’s been reported that on the first day of the shoot, Anupam approached director Pramod Joshi with this suggestion!

Says the director, “When Anupamji told me about this thought, it’s true that I was completely taken aback. He then understood my side and asked to hold the shoot for an hour just to think about it. I was not getting convinced since we had been working on the script for 4 months. Then we sat and had discussion and during which he actually in acted it out.”

Finally, it was Anupam who had the final word and the character turned out the way he wanted it.

Playing the role of a visually challenged person in the film was not easy for the veteran actor.

He shared this feeling at the music launch of the film by saying, “When you play the role of a physically disabled or differently-abled person, you discover how brilliantly people who are differently-abled live their lives."

"We see how people who cannot see, fit themselves so well in the scenario. So, this is a tribute to all the blind. My role is dedicated to all these people," he added further.

Directed by Pramod Joshi, ‘Chhodo Kal Ki Baatein’ is slated for release April 12.
