There weren't many who expected 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' to show any resurgence whatsoever after a rather disastrous start. There wasn't any turnaround either as the weekdays didn't change fortunes for this Akshaye Khanna starrer. As a result, the film just ended up hovering around the 5 crore mark, hence proving to be a major flop at the box office.

The film makes one wonder if either Akshaye would himself be interested or any other filmmaker would be keen on getting another film started with him in a solo lead. His career has been floundering for way too long now and a disaster like this isn't helping the cause much either. Now this is all the more disappointing since there has never been any question around his talent but it is presumably his casual outlook towards his stint as an actor that has resulted in a disinterest of sorts amongst audience to catch him on the big screen. With the film out of theatres in one week flat, it has been bad news for all involved.

The story was even worse for 'Love You To Death' and 'Staying Alive' which, as has the trend been for over a year now, have added on to the pile of small budget box office disasters.
