On the occasion of second death anniversary of icon of Kannada cinema Dr Vishnuvardhana film festival was held recently on December 30 in 30 theatres all over Karnataka. This was held in association with Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial Foundation, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and Vibha Charitable Trust.

Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana wife of the demised actor says the film festival on one day was received well all over the state shows the popularity and liking people have towards my husband.

Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy via 'Belli Mandala' troupe it has formed in Bagalkot, Bijapur, Gadag, Hoskote, Rotary Clubs in Raichur, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Vishnu Sena Samithi in Mysore, Udupi, KK Hebbar Institute of Engineering, theatre groups also took part in the activities.

One lakh fifty thousand people in 30 places viewed the 30 films of Dr Vishnuvardhana selected on this occasion. Each district in Karnataka had the film festival look. In Udupi Paryaya Swamiji Sri Lakshmivara Thirtha flagged off the festival of Dr Vishnu films. Actors Ramakrishna, Mandya Ramesh, college lecturers attended this event.

The films of Dr Vishnuvarahana booklets were distributed wherever the film was screened.
