The year 2011has been memorable for two senior actors Veeraswamy Ravichandran and century hero Shivarajakumar besides half a dozen Kannada films held 100 days and 50 days celebrations.

In the beginning of the year was Shivarajakumar silver jubilee fete. He completed 25 years of profession and 100 films, he completed 25 years of his married life was held in grand style at Bengaluru Palace on Mahashivarathri Day.

Shivarajakumar felicitated his contemporaries like Jaggesh, Thara, Ramesh Aravind, V Ravichandran as all of them completed 25 years of stint in the industry.

Later V Ravichandran celebrated his silver jubilee of married life at Bengaluru palace where the massive attendance from the industry showed the affection on the dream merchant.

Thriller Manju on the occasion of 25 years of stint in cinema directed a film in less than 12 hours and earned a record to his pocket.

The films released in 2010 – Jackie, Mylari and Super held 100 and 125 days celebration. It was the year of 25 films production celebration and opening of Rock Cinema and Mall at Dasarahalli for noted producer Rockline Venkatesh. This is the year he became grandfather too.

Films released in the year 2011 – Olave Mandhara, Kirataaka, Hudugaru, Sanju Weds Geetha organized 100 days events.

The second Vishwa Kannada Smmelana at Belgaum and Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in Bengaluru were the other two top events that had the participation of Kannada cinema industry.
