Ullas Creations producers Ba Ma Harish and BM Diwakar are trying to give a good standing for cousin Deepak after 'Shishya'. One hit of 'Shishya' kept Deepak in circulation for four years.

The same cousin is trying to get new lease of life in box office from uncles in 'Magadi' that has completed shooting in Karnataka and Bangkok.

An associate director of a long time Suresh K Goswami has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film. It is about orphans who survive in life without ration card. The government does not recognize such people and what happens to such people is the undercurrent of this film.

Ramesh is the cameraman for this film and Rajesh Ramanath has scored the music for five songs.

Deepak is teamed with Rakshita (newcomer) and supporting cast has Ravi, Rangateja, Mahesh, Gopi, Lingenahalli Sureschandra, Jayasri Krishna, Ramesh Pandit, Uyyale Shilpa, Mysore Mallesh and others.

It is for this shooting of song in Bangkok Deepak escaped narrowly in an accident. One of the television channels declared him as dead but later apologized for the fault.
