Fresh hurdles have come in the way of 'Maasi', a film directed by Kicha with Arjun playing the lead role, and the movie might not hit the screens this weekend as announced earlier.

The producers of 'Idhudhanda Police - 2' have obtained a stay order from the court, demanding 'Maasi' should not be released in theatres.

In a press release, 'Idhudhanda Police - 2' producer Y Surender Reddy said, "The film, starring Dr Rajashekar, and directed by his wife Jeevitha, is simultaneously being made in Tamil and Telugu. Recently, we learnt that almost 75 per cent of the scenes in Maasi are similar to that of Idhudhanda Police -2."

"We obtained an order in Hyderabad City Civil Court to stay the release of the movie," he added. Surender Reddy recalled that 'Idhudhanda Police -2' was based on Hindi film 'Risk' (starring Randeep Hooda, Vinod Khanna and Tanushree Dutta) and they have obtained the remake rights for it.
