While all other off beat and art film makers are claiming that there are no takers for their films, Roopa Iyer the lady with workaholic approach and brilliance has proved that right way of channelizing the film would yield good returns.

At the Chitra Samooha felicitation evening she explained the three years struggle of ‘Mukhaputa’ that gave nearly Rs.1 crore profit for the trust formed for committed films.

‘Mukhaputa’ – the subject selected by her was universal and obviously it could go to various countries. The AIDS bother children was discussed in the film. A right film at the right time. Coming Roopa Iyer magic, she had traveled various districts booking the theatres for 15 days and got hold of younger audience too. She even called upon the youngsters to give attention to this kind of film. Saying that we don’t have theatres should be stopped. We should get the theatres she felt. It is our duty to make the film reach. The running around I have in the last three years got me the returns. The awards and recognition also came for ‘Mukhaputa’ at the international level. I have marketed the film to some of the languages is an additional bonus she narrated.
