This summer seems to have kept us all busy, with the bagging of the World Cup by the Indian team, following which the fourth session of IPL began, the upcoming elections, the Lokpal bill and the protests among youth supporting the bill, especially all over social networking sites! But this season has more in store for Kollywood enthusiasts as well for there are various films that have delayed their dates of hitting the screens due the cricket fever and are now all set for release IndiaGlitz takes a dope on some of the movies that are ready to hit the screens this summer
'Ko' - This Jeeva Karthika starrer is set for release on April 22. K V Anand of Ayan fame has directed the movie and sources reveal that the movie is inspired by various incidents in the directors real life. Jeeva plays a photo journalist who lands in trouble with few toughies. Although the film started in early 2010 various changes in the cast has brought about this delay, whether Silambarasan will regret abandoning this project, only time will tell The scores are set by Harris Jayaraj.
Vaanam is an upcoming multi-starrer movie and a remake of Telugu superhit Vedam that featured Allu Arjun in the lead. Vaanam revolves around the lives of five people and how the plots are drawn together in a single climax. The celebs in the movie include Silambarasan, Bharath, Anushka Shetty, Prakash Raj and Saranya. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the evan di unna pethan track has already created a buzz among Little Superstars fans. The movie will be released on April 29.
'Deiva Thirumagan' - Vikram is known for his unusual roles and Deiva Thirumagan is sure to be yet another treat for Chiyan Vikrams fans. The actor is said to have played the role of a mentally challenged adult with the brain development of a five year old child, Anushka Shetty and Amala Paul play other key roles in the movie. Anushka has gone completely de- glam in this family entertainer and GV Prakash has scored the music. The trailer of the movie that was recently released seems to be receiving immense appreciation from movie critics
'Engeyum Kadhal' - Boy loves girl, girl loves boy, and both convince or fight their parents or elope. Just another Indian movie! Well doing away with these usual scripts, Prabhu Deva has directed Engeyum Kadhal, a romantic entertainer starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles. The plot is set in France where Hansika falls for Jayam Ravi and what follows is the rest of the movie. The movie is set for release on April 29.
However, this sudden change of schedules bringing together movie releases starring top heroes of Kollywood has made about ten movies including Azhagar Samiyin Kuthrai and Eththan step back for later releases
