The director in Cheran is boucing back. The filmmaker turned actor, who is currently playing one of the protagonists in ‘Muran’, which is his own production too, will start his directorial venture soon.

Titled ‘Adutha Thalaimurai’, the movie, according to the director, will take him to the newgen audience. “Though ‘Pokkisham’ (the last film Cheran directed), was appreciated by many, it failed to work in box-office,” he says.

Trying to explain the reason, Cheran says, “Only at that point of time I realised that those who are coming to cinema halls have changed a lot. So ‘Adutha Thalaimurai’ will be targeted at them.”

“But at the same time, it will not be a run-of-the-mill kind of masala film. It will be a new age cinema, giving what the younger generation prefers,” he adds, expressing happiness about the impact of ‘Yudham Sei’ among the audience and critics.
