Karu Palaniappan’s latest film ‘Mandhira Punnahai’ has cleared the censors with a U/A certificate. His other films Parthiban Kanavu and Pirivom Santhippom got a clean ‘U’.

It is said that the U/A certificate is for the matured theme handled by Karu in the film. The story of the film is about a person who has a world unto himself and is unaffected by anything, not even love. But a girl trespasses his mind and tries to change his ideas on love and women. When their different ideas on love and life try to converge it diverges from the core point.

Karu Palaniappan is debuting as a hero in the film which has ‘Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar’ fame Meenakshi as the female lead.

Santhanam is also a mainstay in the film as the friend of Karu. Moser Baer Dhananjayan, Director Nakulan Ponnuswamy and Deala No Deal fame Rishi are some interesting new faces to watch out in ‘Mandhira Punnahai’.

Vidyasagar is the music director and Ramnath Shetty of Pazhassi Raja fame is the cinematographer. Mandhira Punnagai is hitting the theatres on November 19.
