‘I Hate Love Storys’ is a romantic comedy, written and directed by a newcomer for Karan Johar. The plot of the film is this. Imran and Sonam meets at a cinema theatre and angels sing in their minds. But Sonam cannot move forward because she was already engaged to one Samir. Later Sonam gets a job to work under the foremost romance director of the film industry. Surprisingly Imran is also working under the same director. There Sonam falls for Imran and when she goes to propose she gets a shock. But Imran was not at fault.
