‘Subramanyapura’ not a remake!

At the pre launch media briefing the director of ‘Subramanyapura’ Kannada film Vijayendran clarified that this is not a remake of the Tamil super hit film. The film ‘Subramanyapura’ is set in the village backdrop where in the protagonist Yuvaraj has three shades – flower seller, villain and mad role to perform with the heroine Thavare.

Vijayendran has directed ‘Om Namaha’ that is yet to release and Yuvaraj has acted in ‘Uda’ Kannada film. Thavare is in her third Kannada film.

A beauty parlor owner Lalitha Rao and an import businessman N Giridhar are jointly producing this film ‘Subramanyapura’ with a budget of Rs.1 crore. This film is going to be a minimum 50 days film says the confident producers. The script and songs from Satish Aryan are going to be the highlight of this film. Suresh Gowda has penned the story and screenplay. Anand K is the man behind camera.

The first schedule of the film after muhuruth on 9th July is starting in Ghati Subramanya near Doddaballapura. Within three months director Vijayendran intends to complete this film and producers want to release the film for Vijayadashami during the Dasara festival in Karnataka.
