Joining the list of actors venturing into direction and production is Ponnambalam. The villain artiste is getting ready to make a movie titled 'Idiyudan Koodiya Mazhai', in which he would play the protagonist.

The film, if sources are to be believed, will go on floors on June 2 in Chennai. A bilingual to be simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu, the movie will be directed and produced by Ponnambalam himself (on Sri Balambigai Movies banner).

Chandrakanth would play the other hero while 'Nizhalgal' Ravi, Vadivukkarasi, Devan and Mayilsami would do pivotal roles. "The film is a suspense thriller filled with action scenes," sources say.

They add: "Thanks to the good rapport Ponnambalam shares with stunt directors, popular masters like Kanal Kannan, Thalapathi Dinesh and Rocky Rajesh have agreed to do cameo in ‘Idiyudan Koodiya Mazhai’."
