Ramakrishnan of ‘Kungumapoovum Konjum Puravum’ fame is not just an actor. He was an assistant director who had worked under Cheran and is now getting ready to make his debut as a filmmaker.

“My first directorial venture will be ‘Azhagendra Sollukku Amala’, a love story. I am playing the lead role besides wielding the megaphone. My concentration has always been on direction,” he says.

Ramakrishnan, who has played the role of ‘A to Z’ in last week’s release ‘Goripalayam’, adds: “At the same time, I would also like to continue my career as an actor, since I got the attention of many only because of acting.”

Recalling his working as a canteen assistant at a private hospital near Chennai, the actor-director says, “the doctors there motivated me to think big. This made me to try my luck in cinema. I met actor Dhamu thankfully and he spearheaded the change.”
