Sakthi Chidambaram is one of the few directors in Tamil cinema who start their next venture immediately after completing one. Now that he is ready with ‘Guru Sishyan’, the Sundar C-Sathyaraj starer, the filmmaker is gearing up for his next.

If sources close to him are to be believed, two projects are currently in the director’s mind- one with Sundar C again and the other with Arjun. “While the film with Sundar has been named ‘Gummankuthu’, the Arjun starrer is yet to get a title,” they say.

“For all probability, Sakthi Chidambaram will start the Sundar starrer first. If this happens, then it would become three in a row for him with the actor with the earlier two films being ‘Sanda’ and ‘Guru Sishyan’,” sources add.

Explaining the reason, they say, “because Sakthi shares a very good relationship with Sundar. In one of the interviews, the director hailed the actor saying ‘he forgets the fact that he is a popular director while standing in front of the camera’. ”
