It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan's new film with Jayanth C Paranje is based on the idea of 2009 blockbuster film Love Aaj Kal, which starred Saif Ali Khan in the lead. At the launch of the movie on Sunday, Jayanth said that the film was not a remake.

However, he indicated that the untitled film is inspired by the Imtiaz Ali Bollywood film that was critically-acclaimed for his stunning portrayal of lovers' relationship.

The rumour that it is inspired by LAK has only been reinstated by the fact that Jayanth was selected to direct the film at the last moment. As is well-known, writer Trivikram Srinivas was said to be directing it.

Jayanth, who was a success in adapting Munnabhai MBBS as Shankardada MBBS years ago, was thought as the right choice, it is said, by none other than Pawan.

Interestingly, Jayanth averred that the film holds a mirror to the present-day youth. Which is what leads us to the conclusion that the film will be a sensitive and realisitc love story.

A dab hand at portraying love, Jayanth may prove to be the right choice.
