Director and actor R. Parthiban has filed a case with the cyber crime cell of Tamil Nadu Police against a website alleging they illegally carried an electronic version of book of poems ‘Kirukkalgal’ without his permission.

Parthiban stated that the website has stolen his intellectual property and no money can compensate it. He alleged the website carried his poems many months ago and he came to know of it only when a fan of him from a Gulf country called him to appreciate his work.

However the concerned website denied doing anything illegal and claims all norms were followed to upload the book. They say Parthiban was paid and initial amount for the electronic version of the book and also agreed to pay a commission for downloads of the book.

The case is on.
