The shoot of 'Maanja Velu', Arun Vijay's next after 'Malai Malai' is over and the post production work has started, say sources in the know. The audio release of the film will take place in February, we learn.

The film brings together most technicians who worked for 'Malai Malai' right from its director (A Venkatesh) to the producer to the protagonist. Interestingly, it also marks the reentry of veteran Karthik.

A remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Lakshyam', 'Maanja Velu' has Karthik playing a police officer and Arun Vijay his younger brother. Dhanshika of 'Peranmai' fame is the heroine.

Says Venkatesh, "We all were impressed by 'Lakshyam' and hence decided to make it in Tamil. I thought Arun Vijay would be apt for the role played by Gopichand in the original. Hence I have joined hands with him once again."
