Get ready for ‘Kalyana samayal saadham…’ again. ‘Maya Bazaar’, the mega hit of 1957, is all set to scorch the screens once again, but this time with the support of latest technology, including state-of-the-art colour addition.

Ace producer R B Chowdary has acquired the release rights of the movie. He is planning to release it in Telugu after Pongal. “Based on the reception the film gets in Andhra Pradesh, we will release it in Tamil too,” he says.

Colour addition for ‘Maya Bazaar’ was done by Gold Stone Technologies with nearly 165 technicians working on it. “It took six months for them to complete the project. The end product is awesome,” says the producer.

On the reason behind releasing the movie again, Chowdary says, “Maya Bazaar is one of the important movies of south Indian cinema. It is an evergreen film, which would never lose its charm.”

Chowdary is currently producing ‘Kacheri Aarambam’, which has his son Jeeva in the lead role. Both ‘Maya Bazaar’ and ‘Kacheri Aarambam’ are expected to hit the screens simultaneously.
