Even as a guessing game is on as to who would be the director of Ajith’s 50th film, Vishnuvardhan, who had directed the actor’s magnum opus ‘Billa’, has said that he was always ready to work with Ajith.

“It is true that we (Vishnuvardhan and Ajith) discussed about making a film together. But things are yet to be finalised. I have a lot of respect for Ajith. And I am ready to direct a film for him whenever he invites me,” the filmmaker said.

On the gap after ‘Sarvam’, he said, “Basically I am interested in penning stories. I wrote a lot of stories after ‘Sarvam’ and at the moment working on the screenplay for one of them.”

Saying that the story is set in the Chola period, Vishnuvardhan said he and noted writer Balakumaran are working on it by putting great efforts. “Vikram would fit the lead role if the script is made into a film,” he said.

Confirming media reports that he would do a Telugu film soon, he said, “Plans are on to direct two Telugu projects, one with Allu Arjun and the other with Prabhas. But I would go to Tollywood only after completing my forthcoming Tamil project.”
