Slated for release on 14th of August 2009 in nearly 150 centers in Karnataka and at least at eight countries simultaneously ‘Raj The Showman’ the first 4K technology film a combination of two super powers in Kannada cinema – Puneeth Rajakumar and hat trick director Prem was given the ‘U/A’ certificate on Monday afternoon by the Regional Censor Board.

The tickets of ‘Raj The Showman’ for which stupendous success is expected have started reaching the fans all over Karnataka from Tuesday morning at the respective theatre counters.

In this ‘Raj The showman’ the real life son Puneeth Rajakumar of icon of Kannada cinema Dr.Rajakumar plays the admirer of Dr.Rajakumar films on screen. Nisha Kothari alias Priyanka Kothari is the female lead. In one song five heroines of Dr.Rajakumar films – Jayanthi, Jayaprada, Urvashi, Bharathi and Jayamala appear on screen. In another song there is reference to Dr.Rajakumar, Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Ambarish, Shanker Nag and V Ravichandran.

This multi crore budget film ‘Raj The showman’ has been sold out in all the centers for high price by producers Suresh Gowdru and Srinivasamurthy. The BKT centers the producers are handling hoping for mammoth response in the box office.

State award winner for ‘Mungaru Male’ S.Krishna is the cameraman and the recent Film Fare award winner V.Harikrishna has scored the music. Prem besides directing the film has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.

Releasing on the Gokulashtami festival day ‘Raj The showman’ has created a festive moment in Karnataka.
