Actor Dhanush, who has been keeping a low profile after his ‘Polladhavan’, says his forthcoming ‘Aadukalam’ is his dream project. The film is being directed by Vetrimaran, and has Dhanush playing the character of Karuppu, a Madurai youngster. The film originally had the role of an Anglo Indian played by Trisha, but reports have it that the actress has backed out of the project.

Speaking about it, the actor says ‘I don’t know if Trisha is in the project, but if she is giving it a go because of her Bollywood career, we are fine with it.”

Apart from this, the actor is awaiting the release of his just-concluded film ‘Kutty’. “It is a remake of the Telugu flick ‘Arya’. I don’t like doing remakes but when I saw this film I really wanted to act in its Tamil version,” explains the actor.

With ‘Polladhavan’, ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’ and ‘Padikkadhavan’, the actor has had a hattrick of sorts at the box office. Ask him about it and he simply says “My son Yathra is my lucky mascot. It is only after his birth that all my films have become hits. I will be spending today, my birthday, in his company.”
