The multifaceted and highly respected S.Narayan’s second film for his son Pankaj – S Narayan’s 14th production and his 40th directorial venture ‘Cheluvina Chilipili’ audio release function was held on Sunday morning. It was a grand audio release in style in the presence of former Union minister Ambarish, Sumalatha, Dwarakish, Sa.Ra.Govindu, N Kumar, K Kalyan, S.Narayan, Smt.Bhagyavathi S Narayan, actor Pankaj and Roopika on stage.

Known for high quality films and discipline S.Narayan coming before the media after one year expressed his state of mind when he got nasty reviews in a section of the print media for his son’s debut film ‘Chaitrada Chandrama’. He urged the media to join hands with the cinema industry to construct a healthy atmosphere. I am coming before the media only on the insistence of my friend Sa.Ra.Govindu. In the present scenario of Kannada cinema the producer is facing the ‘noose’. The crashing of films has given him such a sad state of affairs he expressed. I earn and invest in the cinema industry. For this ‘Udayama’ (cinema industry) ‘Madhyama’ (media) support is very essential said S.Narayan.

Noted director, actor and producer Dwarakish in his address said to director S.Narayan to swallow the pain given by the media. Media is there only to write. One who overcomes the pain will be the real artist he pointed. Looking at the box office results of Kannada cinema the veteran Dwarakish said for this poor situation Kannada hero are responsible. They have to select the right producer, script and director. They have to be watchful. They should not give call sheet to all tom, dick and Harry. The principles of Dr.Rajakumar the present heroes should imbibe instead of garlanding the statue of Dr.Rajakumar. Please avoid wash out of Kannada films – Dwarakish expressed his concern.

Another noted producer Sa.Ra.Govindu explained only those have belief in this industry would stay and not touch and go persons from various fields who come here to make films. Distributor, exhibitor and producer N Kumar opined that only good things shower on S.Narayan. He urged others to follow S.Narayan discipline and dedication.

Rebel star, former minister Ambarish did not react much to the statement made by Dwarakish. He only said what Dwarakish said today should be taped and sent to all heroes and that tape inauguration Dwarakish has to make.

Four songs of ‘Cheluvina Chilipili’ were screened on this occasion. Two of the four – Nijana sung by Sonu Nigam and Ninna Prashnege…sung by Shanker Mahadevan shot on mother - are very melodious and meaningful.
