It is a clash of titans on Kannada screen from 14th of this month. Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, Jennifer Kotwal and Charmee steal the show in 'Lava Kusha'. Producer K.Prabhakar has not seen failures in his career and his Rs.6 crore budget ‘Lava Kusha’ is definitely going to draw the audience is the expectation of the industry. It is after four years Upendra and Shivarajkumar are combining together. The last two films of this combination ‘Om’ (this film was directed by Upendra and Shivarajkumar played the lead) and ‘Preethse’ reaped good returns in the box office.

Now all eyes are on these two hot properties of Kannada cinema coming together in ‘Lava Kusha’. Gurukiran has scored the music for six songs in this film while senior of 85 films Om Saiprakash has directed this film that has story and screenplay by actor Mohan.

Yet another interesting film hitting the silver screen this week is ‘Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe’ the debut acting of hat trick director Prem. This film was in the making for one year and the second venture of Ashwini Productions after mega hit film ‘Jogi’. Ashwini Ramprasad and his brother Krishnaprasad have spent Rs. 8 crores on this film. The film is all about where the love is on earth. This film has gained hype from the beginning because of the successful combination. It is in this film there is guest appearance from MP and union minister for information and broadcasting Ambarish and Sudharani. Archana makes a comeback to Kannada after a long time.

For this ‘Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe’ the shooting was held at Egypt and surroundings. Rohini and Namratha hailing from London and USA are the lead heroines. The sex bomb of Hindi films Mallika Sherawat appears in a song number of this film. R.P.Patnayak has scored the music for this special film in the career of director Prem and producer Ashwini groups. The former chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy, Sri Balagangadaranatha Swamiji, Muthappa Rai and Prem’s better half actress Rakshita are in the guest role of this film.

Come 21st ‘Yee Bandhana’ is ready for release. Dr.Vishnuvardhana, Jayaprada, Darshan, Jennifer Kotwal are in the lead. Mano Murthy has scored the music Ajay Vincent is the cinematographer. Two films ready in this month are Darshan, Navya Nayar starring ‘Gaja’ and ‘Naanu Neenu Jodi’ starring Vijaya Raghavendra, Madhumitha in the lead.
