Challenging star Darshan's 25th film 'Bhoopathy' is releasing this Friday (16th February 2007) all over Karnataka. This happens to be Darshan's birthday and auspicious because of Maha Shivarathri. In six years Darshan has finished 25 films with a pretty good standing at the box office. 'Bhoopathy' with a very good contents like grand father and grand son sentiment, comedy, mother sentiment and melodious music plus the inevitable action scenes for Darshan fans is produced by the third generation of KCN Movies. Kavya, Spoorthi and Shreyas – children of SIFCC President KCN Chandrasekhar are producers of this film.

S.Govindu is in his second direction. He made a tasty film 'Jhoot' in the past. Harikrishna scores the melodious tunes for the film. Veenus Murthy is the cameraman.

Shirin who played heroine in Darshan's 'Dhruva' is returning back after a long gap. Veteran K.S.Ashwath, Sumalatha Ambarish, Sudarshan, Mukeshi Rishi, Satyaprakash, Bhoomika, Mohan Das and others are in the cast.
