Her sole release of 2006, 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', may have just about survived at the box office but in the process it helped Katrina Kaif being finally acknowledged as an actor.

Her performance was noticed by almost all those who mattered and though the film wasn't any great shakes, Katrina was recognized as an actor who could have a long innings at the box office. Come 2007 and it may as well be a deciding year of her career as she has at least 5 of her films spread out for release at regular intervals.

Her first film expected to release is Vipul Shah's 'Namaste London' where she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is expected to arrive in the month of February. Next in line is Anees Bazmee's 'Welcome' where she would be again seen with Akshay.

Once through with Akshay, she would have her hands full with the mighty Deols as she makes her presence felt in the first ever coming together of Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in Anil Sharma's 'Apne'. This actioner would be followed by some dose of comedy in David Dhawan's 'Partner' where she would be seen with Salman Khan and Govinda.

'Rockstar' is her fifth film expected to hit the marquee in year 2007. A UTV production, 'Rockstar' is a Imtiaz 'Socha Na Tha' Ali film and pairs Katrina opposite John Abraham.

Apart from the five films as stated above, Katrina has also signed up films with Abbas Mustan and Rituparno Ghosh. Yet to be titled, these films are expected to project Katrina in a different light altogether.

With a bouquet of as many as 7 different films like these, Katrina certainly has a lot to look forward to in the coming months. And to think of it, her career almost spelt 'doom' when her debut film 'Boom' released!
