Though Jananathan's debut directorial venture Iyarkai was widely acclaimed and managed to win a National Award, the movie did not manage to make it big at the box office. He did not lose hopes. After a brief interval, he managed to find a helping hand in RB Choudhary, who began producing his next E starring Jeeva in the lead role.

A major portion of E was completed and Jananthan feels happy that it has so far shaped well.

Meanwhile, the good news for Jananthan is that the director has been assigned to do another film even before his E could grace the theatres.

Noted producer Azhagam Thamizhmani, who produced Rajinikanth starrer Anbulla Rajinikanth many years ago, is planning to commence his next production venture. It is tipped to be directed by Jananathan and would feature prominent actors.

Though Jananathan did not divulge details about the project, he said, he is happy the way E has been shot so far. With energetic youngsters like Jeeva and Nayantra around, I am hopeful of rendering a movie which would certainly appeal to the masses.
