After Malluwood, it's now time for sequels in the Tamil film industry.

Pulan Visaranai, a blockbuster crime thriller of the late 80s, starring Vijayakanth, will have its second part soon.

Pulan Visaranai, released about 15 years ago, was directed by R K Selvamani and produced by A S Ibrahim Rowther.

Selvamani has taken a break from filmdom and is involved in running a Tamil satellite channel.

Kollywood grapevine says that Selvamani has quit television channel work to commence the sequel. The sequel titled Pulan Visaranai - 2 will feature Prashanth in the lead role.

It would be produced by A S Ibrahim Rowther and would have musical score by Joshua Sridhar.
