Manchu Manoj Kumar’s first film Donga Dongadi was a failure.

And as if to add salt into that injury, he was taken to ask for not being in the right shape for the role.

He was asked to keep an eye on what he ate.

But Manoj has every reason to feel that he has bitten something really meaty --- this refers to his role in his forthcoming release Sri.

Directed by Dasarath, the film’s audio is already out and the film is getting ready at a fast clip. The general feeling is that Manoj has a good role that befits his undoubted talent.

The film, produced by Manoj’s father Mohan Babu, is said to be an interesting potpourri of sentiments and action.

Mohan Babu, who has already made two films with his first son Vishnu, said he owed Manoj this movie.

Mohan Babu himself is playing a cameo and the sequences involving the father and son (though small) will be a highlight of movie.

Mohan Babu’s pair is Sukanya while newcomer Tamanna is the heroine.

Sandeep Chowtha has scored the music.

Sri denotes respect. And Manoj is precisely looking for that through the film of that name.
