In the absence of producer of the film 'Aptha Mithra' Dwarakish the celebration went on at Capitol Hotel on Sunday evening. Director P.Vasu and superstar Vishnuvardhana jointly conducted this celebration and distributed mementos to 150 persons who worked for the successful screening of one year of 'Aptha Mithra'.

Despite of glaring absence of renowned producer Dwarakish the celebration went on for two hours. Late Soundarya's husband Raghu received the memento. Financier Subramani, exhibitor BCS Narayan and producer Rockline Venkatesh were honored on this occasion.

I was not confident of taking up this project because of the severe back pain said director P.Vasu. He remembered the guts of producer Dwarakish and said it is a tough decision that resulted in wonderful results. A mass hero Vishnuvardhana doing a different kind was the apprehension expressed by many. But today 'Aptha Mithra' has given me good standing in my life. My name on screen first appeared from Kannada film and this is my first film to run for one year remembered P.Vasu.

Vishnuvardhana is the best hero I like and Bangalore is the best place to succeed in India. It is because in Bangalore all language films are available. With such scenario it is difficult to win felt P.Vasu. I am not with complete heart today.

That is mainly because of loss of the most cheerful actress Soundarya. She was averse to fire. She did ask for cancellation of a fire shot in 'Aptha Mithra'. I promised that not even a spark would touch here. But she succumbed to fire in the air when her helicopter crashed Vasu became very emotional. He also expressed his interest to work with all artistes to work in Kannada. I am recognized more here in Kannada. I will be faithful to this language he made a frank admission.

Like how we enjoy in a marriage occasion we are here like that. This is an occasion to see the glee and glitz of all those occasion said Vishnuvardhana in his speech. I do not interfere in business. I and director Vasu thought of this idea to honor all those who worked. This is a completely affectionate evening. Do not attach any inferences to this function the superstar said.
