The Telugu audio launch event of Shankar's 'I' has been held at Park Hotel in Hyderabad. S.S.Rajamouli, Trivikram Srinivas, Shankar, Vikram, N.V.Prasad, R.B.Chowdary, Srinivasa Reddy etc have attended the event. S.S.Rajamouli launched the audio and Trivikram received the first copy.

Suddala Ashok Teja said, "I had the opportunity to pen lyrics for a song in this movie. I used to think whether our Indians will have a director like Spielberg. Yes. Shankar is Indian Spielberg. We should be proud of him. He has a very good knowledge on Telugu language and the words. When Vikram won National award for Sivaputrudu, I won for 'Tagore'. 'I' will be a feast for everyone". Lyricists Ramajogaiah Sastry, Chandrabose and Anantha Sreeram praised Shankar's work as a director.

Boyapati said, ""Every body with two eyes will watch 'I', after watching the trailer. Shankar is an inspiration to all of us. He is trying to tell something good through his movies. I hope this movie will become a big hit". Trivikram said, "I am a big fan of Shankar. I am eagerly waiting for the release of the film like everyone".

N.V.Prasad said, "I am privileged to be releasing a film like 'I' in Telugu. I wanted to work with Shankar for a long time. I asked him to do a film for me 10 years back. I even gave him advance once. He took it and after some years, when he wanted to do 'Sivaji' with Rajinikanth, he asked the AVM owners to take my permission as he was committed to me. He was such a honest person. There are no words to describe this movie. It is a wonderful film and audiences will love it"

S.S.Rajamouli said, "When I was working as an assistant director in Chennai, our assistant directors used to discuss about Shankar's 'Mukkala Mukkabula' song and how he filmed a particular shot because we don't know much about technology then. But now even after becoming a director, I am in awe of his work. Shankar is always ahead of everyone. I am eagerly waiting for 'I' release. I heard about Vikram's hardwork for this film. He is really a very good actor. I am sure that 'I' will be a visual feast".

Vikram said, "It was very difficult for me to shed and put on weight. But I wanted to do it for the character because i loved it. I sat with one of my friends and discussed about how to get changes in my body according to the role healthily. It was difficult for me sometimes because I had to follow a strict diet. Everyone loved the movie and worked for it passionately. We believed in the vision of Shankar. I thank him for directing such a good film with me. Telugu audiences are the best audiences. I will tell it even in Chennai".

Shankar said, "Usually I keep the visuals in my films on hold. But I had revealed many of them in the trailers and songs. So the expectations on the film raised. But I am sure that the film will be loved by everyone. This film is a romantic thriller. But there will be hidden messages in between. After watching 'Magadheera' and 'Eega', I became a big fan of Rajamouli. I am eagerly waiting for his 'Baahubali'. I've watched the making of that film. It is in technically international standards. I didn't ask Vikram to lose weight for the role. Only he came up with that idea. I asked him to take care of his health. I even called his wife and said that I didn't tell him to lose weight. She said that Vikram was enjoying it and asked me to not bother about it. I thank everyone, who worked for this movie. We can't find such a dedicated actor anywhere".

"I never did a straight Telugu film. I tried to do it two times, but it didn't materialize. But I want do it for the Telugu audiences, who are showing so much love on me. One day, I will definitely do a straight Telugu film", Shankar added.
