Director A.Sarkunam who made a striking debut with the super hit 'Kalavani' went on to win the National award for Best Film (Regional) with his second outing 'Vaagai Sooda Va', which was a period film set in 1960s that stressed the importance education. However the director`s third film 'Nayyandi' with Dhanush, who is also a National award winner proved to be a disaster.

Now the director has to set things right with his next film that is being produced by director Bala. The film has Atharvaa in the leading role. Incidentally Atharvaa is also in bad need of a hit to make cement his position in the industry as his previous film Irumbukuthirai` which released amid huge expectations bombed at the box office.

The film that went on floors is reportedly nearing completion. The director seems to have shot most part of the film in Ramanathapuram and the team has just returned to Chennai yesterday. Sources say that a few scenes will be shot in Chennai for a couple of days before wrapping up. It is also said that title and the first look of the film will be out soon.
