It is not Basavanna` of Brahmana` officially. It is just in the mind and heart of director Srinivasaraju that Basavanna` title is very much present. He is not ready to give up. For the records purpose he has thought of an alternative – a symbol for Tanvi Films of CR Manohar. Super star Upendra, Ragini Dwivedi and Saolni stars in this film. The symbol consists of traditional 3 lines of Vibhuti and third eye in the middle of symbol!

On Saturday night the title launch and poster of Upendra in traditional attire in prayer mood was unveiled by producer CR Manohar.

The film is all about Dharma – there is action and so is Pistol. A powerful commercial entertainer is the ultimate goal of this film he says. For this symbol title Srinivasaraju is giving another catch line soon that is placed before the title. As of now the religious posture of Upendra is also placed with a pistol.

According to Upendra he is like Basava in front of Lord Shiva`. The scale and range of this film is on par with lavish Telugu film. I have done what is told to me by director. Like Super` was named by the people, I would expect a good title from people for this symbol title says Upendra.

CR Manohar was waiting to make a good film with Upendra for a long time. This is altogether different film he observes. Upendra is the only who can take up this kind of variety in one role says Manohar. He has feel of a good cinema.

The strength of Upendra is known from the title opines veteran actor Doddanna. He is convinced that he has been part of a very good film. The shoot at Thiruvayur with ancient temple and the decision of Upendra at this particular scene is something beyond imagination says Doddanna.
