Karthi`s Madras is all geared up for this weekend, a film that is predominantly set on the heart of Chennai, aka 'Madras'. The film is a test in terms of cinematography where low light will play the key, as most of the movie has been shot after dusk.

Cinematographer Murali has said that with majority of the movie through the night, the storyline involves extensive naturally lightened up scenes and so they had to shoot using the street lamps, car lights, and whatever comes to illuminate.

They also had to go Digital for this movie, using Arri Alexa for its realistic experience that makes the scenes appear so naturally instead of the artificial feel.
