Director confirms Vijay's dual roles in 'Kaththi'

It`s officially confirmed that actor Vijay is playing dual roles in his 57th film Kaththi`. The film`s director A.R.Murugadoss has confirmed this in a recent interview.

Murugadoss has said that Vijay plays two characters Kathiresan and Jeevanandam in Kaththi`. Speaking about the plot the Thuppakki` director said, “It is believed that Knife (Kaththi) is the first instrument invented by mankind. Kaththi` story is connected to this belief. The story begins in and ends in Chennai”. The director also revealed the character name of the film`s lead heroine Samantha as Ankitha.

Kaththi` has been progressing at a brisk pace from the day it went on floors. Shooting of the film has been happening in various locations like Kolkata, Hyderabad, Rajmundhri and Chennai. Anirudh is scoring the music while George C.Willaims handles the camera.

The film that is being produced by Ayngaran International and Lycaa Entertainments is touted to hit the screens on Deepavali.
