It is a tumultuous welcome for ‘Drishya’ Kannada cinema a remake of Malayalam film ‘Drishyam’ on Friday morning. The combination of P Vasu, V Ravichandran and maestro Ilayaraja with Asha Sharath and Tamil super star Shivaji Prabhu in the film ‘Drishyam’ the audience have lapped up completely on the first day. Over 100 theatres showing ‘Drishyam’ the response for post interval has been tremendous.

Among all in the film the cable operator role of V Ravichandran, his acting prowess has surfaced in a different way receives applause and appreciation. V Ravichandran of course career best performance as Rajendra Ponnappa comes up with a very cool and intelligent performance. His safeguard of the family is what a lesson for family audience in crisis period. On the other side as Inspector General of Police Asha Sharat (she played similar role in Malayalam original film) using all powers to trace her son Tarun at one level turns out to be a fight between mother and father of two families. Asha Sharat is another right choice and she comes up with a diligent performance.

As the crime of her son is incorrigible mistake the IG bows down resigning her job also shows what shame the parents of upper class family have to face when the children go on wrong path.

From the audience point of view use of intelligence of V Ravichandran character scores over all. In the days of losing confidence in law and justice the cinematic presentation in a film like ‘Drishyam’ is what people also vouch. In the developments for the crime the punishment may be extreme but once the family is in danger the action sound precise.

Although it is a remake film V Ravichandran deserves awards for his performance. He is a romantic hero from last 30 years in Kannada cinema as actor, writer, music director, director, producer and distributor.

Rocking star Yash at the audio release of the film ‘Drishyam’ has made right observation from the small trailer. There is something unique in the movement of eyes of V Ravichandran sir he told. That is true after watching the film. At many places V Ravichandran has acted from his eyes and proved that he is a much matured actor.
