It has been a rumor for quite some time. Now it has been confirmed. Actor Jai of ‘Subramaniapuram’ fame has converted to Islamic religion.

For the past few months it is being rumoured that the actor has converted to Islam since he was drawn towards the tenets of the religion ever since he started shooting for the film ‘Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah’ directed by Aneese. The film reportedly revolves around the wedding rituals associated with Hindu and Islam religions.

Though there has not been official confirmation about the change in religion from the ‘Vamanan’ actor, he was spotted along with music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja who publicly announced a few months back, about his decision to follow Islam in a Anjuman Jumma masjidh in T.Nagar. The photos confirm that the actor has indeed converted to Islam.

On the professional front, Jai is awaiting the release of ‘Vadacurry’ which is scheduled to hit the screens on June 19. The film has been directed by debutante Saravana Rajan and stars Swathi as the lead heroine.
