Actor Kamalhassan has proven his patriotism by remaining a law abiding citizen of India. In his more than five decade long history of public life, there has never been a tax evasion allegation pointed towards him. Being a leading star for many years now, Kamlhassan has always refused to act in any private commercials but has acted in a television advertisement to urge people to pay the Income tax properly. This shows how the Padma Bhushan actor considers the duty of paying tax.

Recently the Universal actor participated as the chief guest of the National cultural programme organized by the Income Tax department, in Chennai. Speaking at the event, the multi-talented star said that everyone should consider, paying the appropriate tax as a National duty. The actor said that his father followed the practice of paying the tax without fail and he follows his Father in this regard. He also urged everyone to follow the same principle when it comes to paying tax.

Kamal added that he considers the tax he pays as his part or share for the Country’s development. He said that one will not hesitate to pay the tax if he/she has such a notion.
