With over 50 years of presence in front of the camera the Ulaganayakan Padmasri Dr Kamal Haasan addressing the mammoth attendance at 6th Bengaluru International Film Festival described that ‘I am a student of Cinema’. The biggest attraction of the evening Dr Kamal Hassan entry to the Jnanajyothi Auditorium was a difficult task for the police to set right the situation. It took 15 minutes for the Karnataka Police to make those who surrounded Dr Kamal Haasan to make them take their seats.

When I was busy in acting I used to come to Bangalore to watch films in Cubbon Park and Bal Bhavan stated the legend. I used every opportunity of learning from cinema.
