A newly-wed British Indian lost his wife as she due to a mysterious illness at a hotel located in Sri Lanka where they had been for their honeymoon. The man, identified as Khilan Chandaria was stopped by Sri Lankan authorities from leaving the country as they are planning to conduct investigation on the death of his wife Usheila Patel.

The 33 year old Khilan Chandaria is a mobile shop owner based out of London was not arrested by the cops, though he was not permitted to leave the country due to the investigations. Khilan and Usheila got married in London on April 19 and went to Sri Lanka for honeymoon after four days.

They stayed at the Amari five-star beach resort located in Galle in Sri Lanka. The couple had planned to travel next to Maldives for the next phase of their honeymoon trip.Reportedly the couple were feverish after consuming drinks in the hotel. Though they were rushed to Karapitiya Hospital, Usheila was declared dead.As per post mortem reports, she had suffered from dehydration and food poisoning has been suspected
