Though she is yet to be seen on the big screen, newbie Aradhna Gupta could well take credit for calling spade a spade. Self-confessedly an 'non-diplomatic' professional in a world where diplomacy could well be a middle name requirement, Mumbai girl Aradhna is happy to be making her debut with Ram Gopal Varma's 'Satya 2' but isn't going overboard with painting the town red.
"That's because if I was not signed for this film then I would have been signed for something else," smiles Aradhna who has good belief in her abilities to make it big in the B-Town, despite being a complete outsider, "It's not that I became lucky with the film. I don't even know how people make such statements. I am quite normal about my debut because that's the way I am. I can't be carrying a twin face."
A Mass Communication student who has also been a part time model, Aradhna was happy to be on board 'Satya 2' due to the 'Satya' franchise factor.
"I met Ram Gopal Varma through my agency and he asked me to perform on a particular scene. Once I did it well, I was on; it is as simple as that," says Aradhna as per whom, the character that she plays is quite 'complex and layered'.
"There is a story behind that," says Aradhna who is playing an aspiring actress in the film, "As the story proceeds, the intensity in my character increases. There are many changes that happen in the life of this character as she meets this innocent looking guy (Satya) who is not so innocent. Because of him, she touches base with underworld and gets into trouble."
On a final note she adds, "RGV wanted someone who was a combo of strong looking as well as sensuous. I am sure that would come across quite well on screen."
We would know once 'Satya 2' releases all over this Friday.
