'Warning' opens better than other releases

It was never expected that 'Warning' would take an extraordinary start at the box office. Though prediction was for footfalls to be around 30% on the opening day, it was a little lower than that. The film received decent reviews overall, though the collections had to settle down around the 3 crore* mark.
The film has been made in a controlled budget and may eventually manage to break through. However it has five days to make maximum moolah (since 'Besharam' arrives on Wednesday). It is expected that at least on 3D screens, it would be retained for some time at the least.
Other releases of the week, 'Prague', 'Super Model', 'Raqt - Ek Rishta' and 'Maazii', have been washouts, as predicted. There were hardly any footfalls for them either at multiplexes or single screens, wherever the target audience lied, and as a result of that it would be tough for these to even complete an entire week.
While 'Warning' - with a largely newcomer cast - should benefit from zero competition due to new releases, 'Grand Masti' is continuing to make some moolah at the box office and saw good audience turnaround in it's third week as well. 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero' has fizzled out though and after a poor second weekend, it is on its way out of theatres sooner than anyone would have expected.
