Apoorva Lakhias much awaited Zanjeer which stars the Ram Charan is all set to offer a high octane visual extravaganza to delight action fans all over India. The action caper has achieved staggering heights of stunts and fight sequences thanks to the exemplary vision of action directors Javed and Aejaz. In fact for one of the highlight and difficult sequences of Zanjeer, the action team recreated one of the largest slums of Asia at a set in Mumbai with an astonishing 250 slums built on the set for the scene!
According to IndiaGlitz sources, the scene required actor Ram Charan to smash his way through the complicated zig zag bylanes of the sprawling slum in chase of oil mafia goons, with villains snapping at his heels as well. What we hear is that during one the complicated car chases, Ram Charan with his quick presence of mind saved the life of a fighter who was a part in the scene!
While chasing one of the goons in the sequence, Ram Charan had to take a sharp right in the create slum set at one point. But in a heart stopping moment, the fighter who was being chased suddenly slipped and fell down! Unfortunately the fighters fall was not visible to the crew thanks to the bevy of dust and smoke that had enveloped Ram Charans car. But Ram Charan with an intuitive sixth sense immediately felt something was wrong and he braked the car before anything untoward could happen!
The entire crew expressed their extreme gratitude to RC who prevented what may have shaped up to be a highly tragic event!
Along with Ram Charan, Apoorva Lakhias tour de force Zanjeer stars an elite ensemble cast of Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Mahie Gill, Atul Kulkarni and Sanjay Dutt. Zanjeer produced by Reliance Entertainment, Puneet Prakash Mehra, Sumeet Prakash Mehra and Flying Turtle Films, Co-Produced by Rampage Motion Pictures, is all set to release on September 6.
