Bollywood is smiling again. After 'Fukrey' and 'Raanjhanaa', 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' is doing quite well too. Now 'D-Day' and 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya', two altogether distinct movies, are releasing this weekend and it is expected that the good run would continue.

Inside reports around 'D-Day' have been very solid and is a realistic action drama with a bunch of good actors. With promise of an exciting thriller in the offering, it created strong buzz during its teaser and promo launch itself two months back. Now post various screenings that have taken place for the film, the buzz has only enhanced further.

On the other hand 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' has Prabhudheva as a director who has two solid hits behind him in the form of 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore'. A love story, it boasts of good music and considering the fact that every major musical has done well this year (Aashiqui 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Raanjhanaa), the makers have good reasons to believe that 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' would follow suit. Moreover, it's the launch pad of Girish Kumar and hence expectations are for him to deliver.
Both films are word of mouth affairs which means the true picture would start coming in by the time Friday comes to a close. If the end product is good, both are expected to stay on in theatres since they won't be clashing into each other's business.
