Imran Khan brings back old "Tayyab Ali" song

Remember the popular song from ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ (1977) - where Akbar aka Rishi Kapoor tries to profess his lady love (played by) Neetu Singh and sings "Tayyab Ali Pyaar Ka Dushman" as a musical protest to her father who is against their love? Well that had been a cult song of those days among guys and yet again the gen-next will croon the same song in new andaaz...

Buzz is that the makers of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ (OUATIMD) have bought the official rights for the evergreen song "Tayyab Ali".

The song was shot over six days on an elaborate set built at Film City. And as you can see from the pictures, the mood for the song is upbeat and a complete riot. Here’s to another round of enjoying watching Tayyab Ali...

Composed by Pritam, written by Rajat Aroraa, rendered by Javed Ali and choreographed by Raju Khan, the current version has Imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha where their characters, Aslam and Jasmeen meet for the first time in the track.

It is expected to go on air before the start of Ramadan.

Imran who plays a Muslim (Aslam) for the first time in a track that promises to be his first major ‘mass’ number.

The first track, "Ye Tune Kya Kiya", composed by Pritam, rendered by the famous Pakistani qawwal Javed Bashir and shot on Akshay Kumar, Imran and Sonakshi, was unveiled recently and swiftly shot up the charts by emerging as the No.1 track on Youtube India.
