Its never easy to set the clock backwards; similarly it is much more difficult to recreate the bygone era...
We are referring to the mammoth task faced by director Vikramaditya Motwane which he undertook to make Lootera. To keep in tune with the storys timeline, the filmmaker had tough time to put together the elements of 1950s, as the film is set in that period.
In the film Ranveer Singh's character is seen riding an Ariel bike, a vehicle that in fact, was stopped being manufactured after 1960s.
During the making of the film, it was then found that there are about only 3-4 Ariel motorcycle in whole of India. And most of them are with connoisseurs who wouldn't part way whatever the cost.
Ranveer while shooting fell in love with the motorcycle. For its a delight to ride and the fact it is so rare adds to its charm.
Interestingly, the actor made a special request if he could keep the motorcyle after the shoot since he personally quite enjoyed riding it.
